This was a fairly simple, easy and in expensive mod to do. I wanted to chop down my rear Hugger in order to show more rear wheel.
Seen a few cut down rear huggers over on SBN, so while I was removing my stock exhaust in preparation for my Two Brothers installation I figured now would be a great time to pop the hugger off (more room without the exhaust) and finally do this mod.
Taking the hugger off is easy as removing two bolts on each side of the hugger, then using a flat blade screw driver to gently pry and pop-out the little plastic self locking insert. Most people break it when removing it (as did I), but it can be put back in with a blop of silicone when done. You don't really need this "bolt" to securely hold down the hugger.
Stock Hugger removed from bike
Using some 'fine line' tape and just free handed a new radius where I wanted to cut it down

Then I fired up the Dremel tool with a cutting disc and went at it. I used a razor knife and some fine sand paper to clean up the edges
